Do One Thing
Just do one thing. That’s all it takes. One. Thing. And then the next comes that much easier.
During this time of great uncertainty it’s all to normal to feel immobilized. To not be sure “what” to do next. Fear, panic and anxiety lined up like the three horsemen waiting to enter the head and heart - ripe for the opportunity. The saying “action kills anxiety” couldn’t be more true - and a mantra we should all write out and stick to our fridges, mirrors, computers and walls. Take action. Do one thing. Make a small step. Make a list. Set a timer. Do whatever it takes to make your “now step” - the one thing that will improve your situation (feelings, thinking, behaviour) immediately. Do the workout. Take the walk. Clean out the fridge. Play the family game. Vacuum. Just do the one thing. The next will come easier. And before you know it you are coping. One step at a time.
